The Artist’s Statement:
I’m overwhelmed with joy having this opportunity to show this body of work! Many of these paintings have never been exhibited before since they’re from my private collection.
My studying faces began as a child. There was a darkness in our home reflecting my parents horrifying experience of being Holocaust victims in Poland. Out of this darkness there was a light pulling me toward God. This was a refuge saving me. I’m very sensitive and love humanity and the beauty of nature. I hope you can experience this love when viewing the paintings.
I’ve had many privileges in my life such as meeting James Ingwersen in 1974, two years after receiving my Bachelors degree, who encouraged me to go to art school. And so began my art training at the Art Students League of NYC. It hasn’t been a straight path, that’s for sure, but it’s not suppose to be when one is searching for truth and challenging oneself to be more, never able to really achieve perfection.
And so the journey continues! Again I’m thrilled to share many years of my life with you!
