RioBravoFineArt® Gallery, recognized nationally and internationally for its focus on contemporary and historic fine art, was founded in 1998 by artist H. Joe Waldrum. Following Waldrum’s death in 2003, RioBravoFineArt® has been continued and expanded by Eduardo Alicea, who owns and directs the gallery.
RioBravoFineArt® represents the majority share of the work left by Waldrum at the time of his death. This work includes a large selection of linocuts, aquatints, sketches, paintings, and studies. The gallery also exhibits outstanding works by New Mexico and national artists and artisans. Paintings ranging from abstract to representational are on display along with photographs, sculpture, ceramics, glass, and fiber art. The gallery gift shop, Don Pepe’s Gift Shop, features an array of colorful, inventive, and imaginative art pieces, along with the occasional unexpected find.
RioBravoFineArt® is in the Historic Hot Springs District of Truth or Consequences. Truth or Consequences offers a variety of spa facilities in the town and varied outdoor recreational activities at both the nearby Elephant Butte and Caballo Reservoirs. The nearby former mining center and now “ghost” town of Hillsboro is one of the gateways to the Black Range and the Gila Wilderness, the first wilderness area designated as such. Truth or Consequences is an integral part of the strong and vibrant arts community in Southern New Mexico.

The gallery has over six thousand square feet of floor space on two floors, which includes three separate exhibit spaces on the first floor and two on the second. The first floor also includes the Don Pepe Gift Shop which is a collection of colorful, imaginative, and inventive art pieces along with unexpected finds.
