After Waldrum’s untimely death in 2003, the Waldrum Trust donated most of the collection of Polaroids to the Photo Archives Collection of the New Mexico History Museum in Santa Fe. An important showing of a part of this collection was displayed at the Albuquerque Museum shortly after the donation by the Trust to the New Mexico History Museum Photo Archives Collection. This show in Albuquerque has been the only significant public showing of the collection since the donation to the New Mexico History Museum.
The show of Polaroids at RioBravoFineArt, which represents the bulk of the artistic work left by the Waldrum Trust, will be a rare opportunity to see an exceptional selection of the Polaroids generated by Waldrum. The Waldrum Polaroid show runs through October 21, 2024.

This exhibition is a show by a group of Puerto Rican artists who all studied at InterAmerican University of San German, Puerto Rico in the 1980’s. The show is centered around the Three Kings, who are an integral part of the Nativity of Christendom. During the Christmas season, the Three Kings play an important role in Latin American cultural traditions. This show provides a look at a story originating in the Middle East, transplanted to the Caribbean, and how it has been transformed by a prominent Hispanic culture.

“A Fiber Show mixing textures, fabrics, and colors. The different venues vary from silk, cotton, wool, jute, gauze and satin ribbon. Style ranges from Southwestern, to Park Avenue, to Minimal Contemporary Pieces.” Pointon expands a traditional wall art format with the inventive use of fiber. She explores themes with a certain familiarity that are given a fresh perspective with the dimensionality of fiber elements.
