​Four New Gallery Artists'

​Three of the new artists explore the wonders of the Southwest, each in a unique way. Ahlgren presents vivid images of the Southwest fauna using watercolor on gouache. Argeanas paints the Southwestern landscape, both built and natural, in a style reflective of much of the sparsity of the desert environment. Young uses strong coloration and bold geometric shapes in his landscape images. The fourth new artist, Schmitt, brings a new aspect, glass art, to the eclectic collection of art at the gallery. Schmitt is a longtime New Mexico glass artist whose featured work in the show will include several wall hangings.
