Yadi Flannery, a truly astounding quilt maker, She is an artist who firmly secures her fiber art in the realm of fine art.
Yadi’s quilts reflect the patchwork sensibility of past artists without being constrained by styles of the past. Some of her quilts incorporate the classic geometric shapes that dominate traditional quilts, but these shapes float freely throughout her quilts. Other quilts have a single geometric pattern defining the quilt, but fabric patterns and colors flow freely underneath and within the overlying geometric pattern. Regardless of the overall design approach, each of Flannery’s quilts is a stunning image rich in an abundance of color and pattern.
