“The paintings feel personal, and encoded, like Nirvana lyrics - you don’t
quite know what is going on, but somehow you get it.” - Luke Delalio

Before 2017 Wendy Tremayne was a conceptual artist producing immersive and on the street theatrical performances in New York City. In her twenties she had made a decision to save one medium for her 50th birthday and in 2017, on her birthday she began painting figurative narrative works that are often self-referential and at times contain imaginary characters.
A part of the Truth or Consequences community since 2006, Wendy has produced dozens of community art events and she authored the book, The Good Life Lab: Radical Experiments in Hands-On Living (Storey Publishing 2013) to share her experiences leaving the city and pioneering a sustainable, creative, hands-on life in the desert. https://wtremayne.blogspot.com/
